AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A big announcement from Kids Inc. Wednesday. The organization says it has been offered a deal to sell its current building. And that opens up the discussions for a possible relocation and expansion. Because of the offer, Kids Inc. is looking into building a new multi-purpose indoor sports facility, with additional office and warehouse space.

"We want the public to know we are exploring our options in terms of relocating our offices and warehouse space and one of those options is do we want to build a multi-purpose facility.", says Jimmy Lackey, Kids Inc. President and CEO.

Right now, since it's in the early stages of discussion, Kids Inc. President Jimmy Lackey says he will not disclose the amount he is negotiating for or with whom, but he says the price needs to be right.

"The driving force behind this is the fact that we have an offer for this building that we're in right now, it's not quiet to the point where we want it to be, but its negotiable and we think we may get there. And if we do, are we going to make the move, and if so, where to and what's that going to look like?", says Lackey.

But Lackey says the purchase price will not be enough for the relocation. Kids Inc. is depending on the Panhandle's generosity to help, like monetary and even land donations.
