AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Police are looking for an armed robber. They say a man hit Peggy's Cleaners on Paramount Wednesday afternoon.

The female victim was working in the back when she heard what she thought was a customer at the counter. As she approached the "customer" he put his hand in his pocket as though he had a gun. He told her to give him the money or he would shoot her. She then handed over the cash, and the suspect told her to lie down on the ground or he would shoot her. She complied.

The man described as a white male 45-50 years of age, fled in an unknown direction. He had brown-gray medium length hair, and had some type of scars described as "pock marks" on his face, was wearing a red cap, blue shirt, and jeans.

Luckily no one was injured in the robbery and there have been no arrests made at this time. If you have any information call Amarillo Police at (806) 378-3038 or Crime Stoppers at (806) 374-4400.
