TUCUMCARI, N.M. -- Closing arguments began Monday in the trial of a Tucumcari man accused of trying to kill his ex-girlfriend. The Quay County Sun reports that Earl Moses Ingram, 31, is charged with multiple felony charges, including kidnapping and attempted murder.
Those charges stem from a July 2009 report that he beat Amber Simpson, 27, stole her car then led police on a chase before escaping on foot. He was captured two weeks later in Clovis.
