AMARILLO, TEXAS -- An Amarillo man will spend the rest of his life in jail after being found guilty of murdering his wife. Jeff Yager was convicted Thursday, four days after his murder trial began in Randall County.

A jury found Yager guilty of the 2008 shooting death of his wife, Amy Yager. She was found with a gunshot wound to the back of her head in their Puckett neighborhood home.

Yager was sentenced to life in prison and a fine of $10,000.
