AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The community garden adjacent to St. Peter's Episcopal Church has been flourishing all summer and Sunday the West Hills Community came together to say thanks. The blessing was to give thanks for the earth, rain, sunshine, community effort and continuous harvest. The garden can be tended by anyone, regardless of where you live or religious affiliation. You are invited to plant, harvest, and share the vegetables and herbs. Right now, it's full of fresh tomatoes and squash and everyone is welcome to share. The garden is part of a larger association formed to help improve the neighborhood and to create a sense of community.
