AMARILLO, TEXAS -- UPDATE:
The Amarillo Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for Sterline (corrected spelling) Secrist, white female age 81. The updated description information states that she is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a green jumpsuit and gray loafers. She does wear glasses. The vehicle description remains the same, a dark purple 1998 Dodge Caravan, Texas handicap license plate # 3XXNS.
Law enforcement officials believe that this senior citizen's disappearance poses a credible threat to her safety. She has been diagnosed as suffering from dementia. She was last seen today at about 3:30 PM in the area of 4510 S. Bell.

There is no clothing description available at the time this story was posted. She drove away from the BSA Urgent Care Center at 45th and Bell about 4 p.m. on Sunday. She was in a purple 1998 Dodge Caravan. Mrs. Secrist may be confused or disoriented, and is not normally able to drive. She may have been trying to drive to the area of the medical complex.
