AMARILLO, TX -- A blast from the past can be experienced tonight at the Vintage Auto Haus and Imports building, and it's all for good cause.

"Greased Lightning" is a cause benefiting the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association, and just like the name suggest the event is themed with music, style, and cars from the 1950's.

An official tells us that supporting senior citizens now will actually help each one of us later..

"I think it's very important that everybody in the community understand we're all getting old and we need to have a destination to go to," said Jelaine Workman, Amarillo Senior Citizens Association Executive Director.

The event will go on until midnight and tickets are $40 each which will get you dinner and music to dance the night away to.

There will also be a dance-off and a hula-hoop contest.
