Kids participate in Trike-a-Thon for St. Judes Hospital
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Kids at St. Mary's Church has some fun raising money for a good cause. The kids, ages 3 to 5 raised money to ride in a trike-a-thon. Starting early Thursday morning the kids raced their little hearts out for about 30 minutes. The kids even went as far as decorating their bikes in fall colors and Halloween themes. The money raised from the trike-a-thon will go to help children at St. Jude's Hospital.
"They have gotten pledges with mom and dads help, grandma and grandpas help and we're hoping to raise a lot of money. Generally we raise between $1000 to $1500 a year to do this," said Julie Scrimpsher, St. Mary's Church.
St. Mary's has raised over $11,000 to benefit St. Jude's since they started fundraising several years ago.
