AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Buzz lightyear, princesses, lady bugs, and fairies were at St. Mary's Carnival Saturday. It was put on by the people at the church. The day long event, on the school grounds at South Washington, started with a 5-K run then continued with the carnival. It features a silent auction with carnival games for all the kids, where not matter what, they always won! But the most fun the kids had, might just be the costume contest.

"The carnival is very important to the school this is our major fundraiser. Every year we have thousands of people that come out, I think every year we have between 3 to 5,000 people that come out for this,"said Cecelia Adkins, 1st grade teacher.

The money that's raised here today will go right back to the the school.
