AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Police are investigating an armed robbery from Tuesday night and need your help finding the man responsible.

Around 9:15, an employee at the Eskimo Hut on S. Western told police a man approached the counter as she had the register open. He grabbed her shirt with one hand and displayed a gun with the other, and ordered her to give him the money.

The employee yelled to get the attention of another employee that was in the store. The suspect then let go of her shirt, but then started reaching over the counter and taking the money from the register. When the other employee came towards the register the suspect ran out the door, taking an unknown amount of money from the register.

A witness saw the suspect get into the passenger side of a white vehicle parked behind the apartments that are South of Eskimo Hut.

The suspect was described as a white man about 5'6" tall with a medium build, wearing a black hat, jacket and pants.

No one was injured and no arrests have been made at this time. If you have any information about this robbery you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (806) 374-4400. You can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
