Dairy Queen on S. Western robbed Wednesday evening
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a local restaurant Wednesday night.
Around 8:30, the cashier at Dairy Queen on Western, said a man walked in and handed her a note demanding money, it instructed her to put the money in a bag. The cashier told police the man then lifted his shirt to show her a gun tucked in his waistband. The employee did what the man asked, and the suspect left with the bag of money. He was last seen walking east from the business.
The employee described the suspect as a white man, early to mid-twenties, 5'7, 150 pounds, with a thin build. He was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt with a black pullover shirt, black pants, and white tennis shoes. The gun was said to be gray in color.
