AMARILLO, TEXAS -- It's that time of year again for those in our area that need a helping hand this Christmas to sign their child up for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree. The application process started on Monday, November 1st and will continue until November 12th. To sign up just head to the Army's church location at 2101 S. Van Buren, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to noon. And on Tuesday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Kids in Potter, Randall, Armstrong, Carson, and Oldham counties are eligible. The child must be from infant age to 17 years old. But parents you need to bring certain documentation to get assistance which include: the parent of legal guardian's valid identification and proof of guardianship, the parent of legal guardian's original social security card, proof of income and expenses, social security cards and birth certificates of each child and proof of school registration for students 16 years old. The Angel Tree will be on display at Westgate Mall starting November 19th and will stay until Decemember 10th.
