AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Police are trying to figure out where an abandoned postage stamp vending machine came from. Early Thursday morning, officers responded to the area of S. Rusk and Rebecca and found the older style machine had been forced open.

A bundle attached to the inside of the machine was checked out by the bomb squad, but determined to just be spare parts for the machine. Police believe the machine may have been taken from a theft or burglary.

Anyone with information about where it may have come from is asked to call Amarillo Police at (806) 378-3038. The incident is under investigation.
