This Texas Plains Trail/U.S. Postal Service Stamp Cancellation project began on January 6, 2010 in Armstrong County and will continue each Wednesday of 2010 at a different county seat.
It is an effort to promote travel and heritage tourism by connecting points of regional pride. The Texas Plains Trail Stamp Cancellation Program was the idea of photographer Rick Vanderpool.
