ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A strong storm system combined with low pressure over northeast New Mexico will produce gusty west to southwest winds along and east of the central mountain chain.

A wind advisory is in effect until 5 p.m. Monday.

The National Weather Service says southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph are predicted.

The strongest wind gusts are expected early in the afternoon with wind speeds decreasing near sunset.

Expect locally reduced visibilities in blowing snow above 7,500 feet along the eastern slopes of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Areas of blowing dust may briefly reduce visibilities elsewhere.

Dangerous cross winds are likely along north to south roadways including the Interstate 25 corridor between the Colorado border and Las Vegas.
