AMARILLO, TEXAS -- While most of us will be sitting down to a Thanksgiving dinner... some employees will be staffing cash registers since they're going to be open Thursday.
In the hopes they can lure in those holiday shoppers during our still struggling economy.
The list of stores opening their doors on Thanksgiving is growing. Wal-Mart, Hastings, Sears, and even Toys R Us are all going to be open at different times on Thursday.
People we spoke with say they fully believe the Black Friday concept will keep inching backwards on the calendar.
"There are several retailers that started Black Friday a week ago so I could see possibly the trend, especially with eh economy, they'll push it back to October before you know it," says Tina Love.
Many of the big retailers closed Thanksgiving will still offer up special deals online for people who feel like shopping from home.
