AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The appeal of a man who defrauded Pantex has been denied. In September of last year, Roy David Williams was sentenced to 30 months in prison and ordered to pay restitution.
Williams appealed that sentence, and on Monday the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the district court's ruling.
In 2007 and 2008, Williams defrauded Pantex out of more than $169,000. He was found guilty on 29 different counts, including one count of wire fraud, eleven counts for contractors bonds, bids, and public records, sixteen counts of false, fictitious and fraudulent claims, and 1 count public money.
