Okla. soldiers return home in time for holiday

More than two dozen Oklahoma Air National Guard members got to spend Thanksgiving at home in the Tulsa area.

TULSA, OKLAHOMA (AP) -- Thirty-one members of the Tulsa-based 219th Engineering Squadron were greeted by family members and friends when they arrived at Tulsa International Airport on Wednesday. The soldiers had been deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq.

The squadron installed communications networks, copper and fiber optic cable, conduit and manhole systems, antenna poles and towers for radio, telephone and computer communications.
