AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Tis the season to give, and to spread love and joy. You can accomplish all three by giving the gift of  a home to a shelter animal this Christmas.

The Amarillo SPCA is a no-kill shelter that provides homes to dozens of dogs, casts, and kittens.

Billie Hicks Vice President of the SPCA says they have all kinds of dogs to choose from. Everything from terriers, yorkies, labs, german shepards, and boarder collies. They also have full grown cats & kittens.

Hicks invites everyone out to take a look around saying, "We would love people to come out! These animals need a good home, and most of our pets have come from homes and now they are in a shelter environment and they don't really know what to do. They need love and a family."

Stop by the SPCA Tuesday-Friday noon until 5 and on Saturdays from 1 to 5.
