AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The community came out to show their support for a local teen who was shot during a hunting accident earlier this month. A benefit run was organized at Thompson Park Saturday morning with all proceeds going to Tucker Karrh's family. Around 100 people showed up, raising $1500 to help cover Tucker's medical expenses. Earlier this month, Tucker has his first reconstructive face surgery. The community says they're just honored to be able to help the Karrah family.

"It's a great feeling and its great to see so many people support it that's the main thing. you know all we did was advertise it a little bit at the store, put it out in some emails, and some facebook and we just got a great response so it just makes me think people are very giving and that's a wonderful feeling," said Karen Roberts,  "Get Fit" Owner who organized the event.

If you're interested in donating to the help the Karrah family. A fund has been set up at both Happy State Bank and First United Bank under Tucker's name.
