SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Gov. Bill Richardson's administration says New Mexicans can still receive a $200 rebate for buying certain energy-efficient appliances.
The state has $40,000 available to make rebates to New Mexico residents who bought Energy Star qualified clothes washers and refrigerators from a retailer in the state between April 22 and Nov. 15. The money came from administrative savings in the program.
Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The state also continues to offer rebates for buying an energy-efficient natural gas furnance.
More information is available from the Energy Minerals and Natural Resources Department.
