California man, David DelMundo has proclaimed December 1st to be Pay it Forward . The day was inspired by the movie of the same name starring Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt, and Haley Joel Osment. On Wednesday, you are encouraged to do at least one act of random kindness. The receiving party is then to pass it on by doing a good deed for another stranger and so on.

Here's a few examples of random acts of kindness:
• Pay for someone's cup of coffee…
• Buy someone some groceries…
• Get the next person's gas…
• Help someone out…
• Donate something…
• Be creative!!!

The good deed can be small or big, what matters is that you see a need and address it. What makes the impact so much more is that the good deed is coming from a stranger. When you do something for someone there's a good chance they'll do something for someone else. If not, at least you've done a good deed for someone. With the holidays just beginning, this is a fun way to spread good cheer and make a difference. Get in the holiday spirit and Pay it Forward.

Currently there are over 218,000 people who have committed on Facebook to honor the day by doing a random act of kindness.

There is also an International Pay It Forward Day on 28th, April 2011. It was started 10 years ago by the Pay It Forward Foundation.

Find out how ProNews 7 and Donut Stop are paying it forward.
