AMARILLO, TEXAS -- It's that time of year to start thinking of those less fortunate and give back to the community in the Panhandle Spirit. One program you can help out in the Marine Corp's "Toys for Tots". Donations are now being collected in our area. If you would like to help a child age 7 to 18 who will go without this Christmas just bring a new, unwrapped toy to locations setup around town.

"For the people that want to give we're looking for the age groups between 7 and 18 years old, we need gifts that are new and unwrapped they don't need to wrapped like presents or anything like that and just give what you can," said Sgt. Andrew Smith, U.S. Marine Corps.

Marine's involved in the program say it's vital to give to our area kids in need.

"The biggest way I can explain it is, you have those parents that wake up on Christmas morning and you know they walk in and they have nothing to give their kids, you can imagine how that feels, make sure you give," said Sgt. Smith.
