CANYON, TEXAS -- People across the Panhandle bleed maroon and white and support their WTAMU Buffs, and now Dr. Marty Kuhlman has made it easy for your child to cherish the tradition.

Dr. Kuhlman teaches classes in United States History, but recently, with the institution celebrating it's 100th birthday, he began researching the rich history of WT.

"I was doing research on the centenial history and I found a Prairie newspaper from the 50's. In it there was a short blurb about two buffaloes speaking to one another."

The book entitled "Every Buffalo Will Shine" is about a young bison name Charlie who has big dreams of going to college, and discovers that with confidence and faithful friends he can do it all. The book with it's beautiful, colorful full page pictures by Dustin Reno, encourages kids to follow their dreams, and never let anyone stand in the way.

"A lot of our students and faculty have young children, and sure you can give them a WT t-shirt but I wanted to give something more, something that would teach a young child the importance of this great university."

You can pick up a copy of the book on Monday Dec. 6 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Cornette Library on WT's Campus. Dr. Kuhlman will be available for a book signing during that time, as well. You can also pick one up for yourself anytime at the WTAMU bookstore.

Dr. Kuhlam encourages all to dream big, and discover the buff in you!
