AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Remembering those who are often forgotten, that's the idea behind "A Time to Share". And with the kindness of just a few people, holiday cheer is being spread to seniors and disabled adults.

"We started in 1999, we started very small with a 150 participants, in the garage, and so this year our last count real close to 1,040 people is who we all will be serving this year," said Nancy Haning, "A Time to Share" Founder.

For 12 years, Haning, her daughter Ashley and several volunteers have been spreading the magic of Christmas. Giving to those seniors and disabled adults who often don't have the means to celebrate.

"Most of the criteria is low income and if they don't really have much means for celebrating christmas. We don't want to have anybody out there not have a christmas celebration," said Haning.

For many, that Christmas celebration came Saturday with volunteers delivering gifts and goodies.

"The gifts are individually selected. the gifts that they receive are just very basic items that we all some what take for granted. Sweatshirts, jogging sets, shoes, socks, gowns and robes," said Haning.

Those who benefit from, "A Time to Share" are selected through several agencies in town, like, Catholic Family Services and the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services. Names are also give by local churches. "A Time to Share" is also looking for volunteers.
