AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Less than a week away is one of the Lone Star Ballets biggest productions of the year and you can expect to see some new things .
More than 160 members will be in The Nutcracker, and the ballet has been a tradition in Amarillo for 39 years.
Today the cast and crew are rehearsing and getting a feel of the real thing at the Amarillo Civic Center.
"There's just something about hitting it this first day that is unbelievable. It's seeing the sets up, and the lights up, and the music and all the vibrancy of this and all these wonderful faces. I think it's extremely exciting," said Vicki McLean, Lone Star Ballet Dance Director.
McLean says we can expect to see new cast members, new characters, new costumes, and even new choreography.
Opening night is Friday December 10 at 8 p.m.
