CARSON CO.,TEXAS -- An Oklahoma man is behind bars after a DPS trooper found more than 100 pounds of marijuana in his SUV.
The trooper stopped Darnell Taylor, 38, of Oklahoma City in Carson County on I-40 for following too closely. During the stop the trooper asked for consent to search the vehicle and it was granted. The search turned up 133 pounds of pot valued at $43,225. The marijuana was hidden inside an aftermarket gas tank.
Troopers say the pot was being transported from Los Angeles, to Oklahoma City.
Taylor, was arrested and booked into the Carson County Jail for possession of marijuana, a second degree felony punishable by 2-20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
