AMARILLO, TX --
We are introducing something new for you guys and it's called, "What's New Amarillo?!".
The intention is to cover new places around town and introduce you to those places.
Toot 'n Totum is no stranger to Amarillo, and they are making their presence more loud and clear.
They will be adding to their already 61 locations, and this new Toot 'n Totum off Hollywood and Coulter, will have a check cashing facility and two main entrances.
It's part of a larger expansion to add five new stores to the lone star state.
This next business is completely new to Amarillo and already off to a good start with 1500 and counting costumers.
Planet Fitness' motto is one they call -- the judgment free zone -- where anyone can be comfortable working out.
"We don't really cater to heavy lifters and body builders. We don't allow dropping weights, grunting , and all that stuff that's going to intimidate everybody else," said Mckenzie Brackeen, Planet Fitness Employee."
Those intimidators are what the gym calls "lunks", and there's a price to pay for showing off there.
"We can flip a switch behind our desks and a lot of lights are going to go off, some sirens are going to sound, and that pretty much means that somebody in the gym is being a "lunk" and that they need to stop," said Brackeen.
After your workout you may be hungry, so you can always stop at Wings & Things -- it's a sports bar and grill..
It's located off I-40 and Georgia, but the brand new place is still being renovated.
Planet Fitness will open December 31, and Wings & Things December 7.
