AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Police are investigating two separate robberies that happened within minutes of each other.

The first, was reported at 9:50 Wednesday night when a man wearing all black walked up to the front door of the Taylors at 2100 S. Grand. According to police, the suspect was wearing a blue bandanna and was armed with a pistol.

The suspect asked a customer who was in the store to leave but the customer refused, the clerk called police and the suspect took off. The suspect was last seen running west behind the store and got into a 4 door car, at this time, it's unclear if the suspect made away with any money.

Shortly after officers arrived on the scene, they were called to another robbery call at 1701 S. Eastern at a Toot N Totum. A male and female allegedly entered the store, pulled a gun and demanded money. Police say the pair was seen leaving in a 4 door car and that the suspect information is the same as the previous robbery.

Nobody was injured in either incident. Police are asking anyone with information to call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
