ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A winter storm warning remains in effect until 11 a.m. along the central mountains of New Mexico.
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque says it will continue snowing through Friday morning while gradually tapering off toward midday.
Scattered snow showers may linger Friday afternoon with little or no additional accumulation. Patchy and locally dense fog may also develop, but will end by mid morning.
A winter storm warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous.
Additional accumulations of 1 to 3 inches of snow are expected.
