AMARILLO, TEXAS -- An Amarillo man has been sentenced to 20 years in jail after being found guilty of 12 counts of possession of child pornography.
H. Dean Wilson was found guilty of those charges by a Potter County jury two weeks ago. At that time, the jury recommended a sentence of 10 years for each charge, amounting to a total of 120 years. However, due to the fact that the judge in the case was out last week, the official sentencing wasn't handed down until Monday afternoon. At that time, Wilson was ordered to serve a total of 20 years in jail and pay a $25,000 fine.
Wilson was also found not guilty on four charges of indecency with a child during that same trial.
