AMARILLO, TEXAS -- According to Amarillo Police, three people attempted to rob a house in the 900 block of Carolina.

The victims, a husband and wife, told police they were eating dinner around 7:45 Tuesday night when they heard a loud noise at the back door. The victims said they saw two males wearing all black and ski masks and armed with rifles and shotguns. The report states the suspects kicked in the back door. As that was happening, the two victims ran out the front. The husband ran across the street to call 911. As the wife was running out, a third suspect caught her and forced her to the ground. Then, police say the suspects took off running north, got into an older model car and left east bound on NW 11th.

So far, police say nothing was taken during the robbery attempt. Anyone with information is asked to call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
