ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - The National Weather Service says a low pressure system is expected to bring more snow to the higher northern mountains of New Mexico Thursday and Thursday night.

A low pressure disturbance gathering moisture and energy over the eastern Pacific waters is expected to move toward New Mexico late Wednesday night and into Thursday. Colder temperatures will accompany this system allowing snow levels to drop.

A couple of inches of snow will be possible Wednesday and Wednesday night at the highest peaks of the San Juan Mountains.

Forecasters say more intense snowfall is expected to spread over the San Juan and Jemez Mountains into Thursday with several inches of accumulation possible.
