Counterfeit ring busted three arrested

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A local counterfeit ring has been busted and three arrests have been made. Amarillo police detectives have filed charges against, Christopher David Cano,29, Erich Jason Council, 37, and Jaclyn Kay Jones, 27, all of Amarillo.

The U.S. Secret Service is assisting in the forgery investigation.

All incidents happened in December. The charges and incidents are as follows:

Christopher David Cano, has been charged with Forgery US Currency which is a 3rd Degree Felony in Randall County for an incident that occurred on Dec. 28, in the 4400 block of S. Washington. He is in custody in the Potter County Correctional Center.

Erich Jason Council, was charged in Potter County with Forgery US Currency involving an incident that occurred on the eighth of last month, in the 2300 block of Dumas Drive. He is currently in the Hemphill County Jail.

Jaclyn Kay Jones, has been filed on in Randall County for Forgery US Currency in connection with an incident in the 4200 block of Canyon Drive that also occurred on Dec. 8th. She is also currently in the Potter County Jail.
