(AP) -- ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - District Attorney Matthew Chandler of Clovis says his office is preparing an arrest warrant against former Santa Fe County Sheriff Greg Solano on multiple charges of embezzlement and fraud.
Chandler says he expects Solano to be arrested this week.
Solano's attorney, Brooke Gamble, was in a trial Monday and could not be reached for immediate comment.
State police investigated Solano for several months on allegations he made online sales of new and used equipment that belonged to the sheriff's office.
Solano resigned Nov. 24 after nearly eight years as sheriff.
