CLOVIS, N.M. -- A fatal wreck involving a Clovis police officer will be presented to a grand jury on Friday, that's according to the 9th District Attorney's office.

Back in November, Mary Castillo, 56, died after she was hit by a patrol car driven by officer Stephen Gallegos. That wreck happened at Grand and Sycamore in Clovis, on November 17.

Lab results from blood tests for officer Gallegos, showed no evidence of alcohol. And phone records indicate that he was not using his cell phone at the time of the crash.

The grand jury will be asked to decide if the officer should be charged with vehicular homicide.
