Ellen Robertson Green announces plan to run for City Commissioner Place 1
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Pronews 7 spoke with Ellen Robertson Green this morning, and she confirmed to us that she plans on announcing her intention to run for Amarillo City Commission on Friday. She will be seeking the position of Place 1 that will be vacated by Madison Scott. Place 3 is also up for grabs after Ron Boyd also announced he will not be running for re-election. Just last week Lilia Escajeda, announced she will be running for Place 3.
Green is currently the Chief Communication and Marketing Officer for Amarillo College/KACV, and is a member of the Amarillo Traffic Commission and Safety Subcommittee. She also serves on the board of the Ronald McDonald House, Amarillo Opera and is President of the West Hills Neighborhood Association.
Her official announcement will be at 9:00 a.m., Friday, January 21st in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall.
City elections will be held May 14.
