AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Civic Center was packed as the Amarillo Globe News presented its Man and Woman of the Year awards.
Myrna Raffkind and Eddie Melin were this year's recipients of those awards.
Both were saluted for having their fingerprints on many things going on around Amarillo.
Most notably, Raffkind's work with the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coalition and Melin's decades of work with the Amarillo Symphony.
Speakers recognized their many years of service, and called them well-deserving recipients.
