AMARILLO, TEXAS Protests in Egypt have prompted officials there to turn off the internet. It makes you think about our position here in the land of freedom. I like to think no matter how bad things get here, our freedom of speech will remain sacred.

What else has been turned off by Egyptian leaders? One of the staples of modern communication, text messaging.

The unrest in the land of the pyramids was sparked by the revolution that started last month in Tunisia.
