Power restored to Xcel customers

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- UPDATE 8:00: Wes Reeves with Xcel Energy says that power has been restored to all the Borger customers.

UPDATE:  Xcel said around 4,000 people were affected by outages in Texas and Oklahoma, currently crews are still working to restore service to about 300 customers in Borger.  While most outages have been repaired, the company said they do expect more issues while the cold and wind persists.

A spokesperson for Xcel Energy said their crews are working some outages across the Texas Panhandle and New Mexico.

As of 10:30 Tuesday morning, the company estimated between 1,200-1,500 people have been affected, including 509 customers in Clovis.

Xcel said that most of these outages have been or are in the process of being restored.
