AMARILLO, TEXAS -- One man is now behind bars after rolling his truck and smashing into a light pole. It happened Saturday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. on 1-27. Police had to shut down parts of the Washington Street exit to control traffic.
They told our crews that a man was driving drunk and tried to exit the e-way when he hit a light pole. That caused the green pick-up truck he was driving to roll over. Police said luckily he walked away with a few cuts and bruises. But, he didn't walk far they took him straight to jail.
