Pampa HS basketball team bus shot at in Borger

BORGER, TEXAS -- This past Friday, in Borger around ten that night, a car pulled up to the driver's side of a Pampa ISD school bus carrying the Pampa high school boy's basketball team and fired one shot.

The car is described as a dark blue or black Chevrolet Impala, with a spoiler on the back. One of the suspects in the car fired, possibly from a pellet gun, at the school bus shattering one window and cracking another. The incident happened at the intersection of Third Street and Florida Street in Borger.

After the incident, the suspect vehicle immediately turned around on Third and was last seen speeding away from the scene headed westbound on Third Street. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Additional witnesses will be interviewed by Pampa police officers. Borger Police Department School Resource Officers are also investigating the incident.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (806) 274-6371. Borger students may also contact the Student Crime Stoppers as well, within the school with information about the incident. Callers remain anonymous, and Crime Stoppers rewards range from $50 up to $1,000 for relevant information in regards to the crime.
