AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A15 year old Boy Scout is being recognized for his actions to help area children battling cancer. Dahlton Wagner in the process of getting his Eagle Scout Badge, decided to help young cancer patients at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He, along with his dad's help, made several book shelves to hold donated books in the oncology waiting room. Wagner also found donors to provide 3 Wii video game consoles with games, 3 TV, 3 dvd players, furniture, and even hundreds of beanie babies.
"It makes me feel like they don't really feel normal and when they get to play and do normal stuff like normal kids it makes them feel like a normal kid and they get to do all this fun stuff like normal kids," said Dahlton Wagner.
"It makes me feel a heck of a lot better knowing that they're not going to be in so much pain and they'll feel a heck of a lot better," said Wagner.
In honor of Dahlton and his generous heart, a plague now hands in the Pediatrics Department at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center right next to his bookcase
