AMARILLO, TEXAS -- There are several evacuation centers that have been set up around town to help anyone who lives in or close to the recent fires.

Some residents that live in the Lake Tanglewood area are taking shelter at the Cowboy Church off of Loop 335 and Washington Street.

Our local American Red Cross chapter is there helping serve drinks and with whatever needs the recent evacuees may have.

One Tanglewood resident was grateful enough to share her experience so far with us.

"As you can see I'm shook-up, I'm shaking, I'm worried and to have something like the Red Cross helps a lot -- I'm very grateful. We're from Ohio and these kind of things have never happened to us, so this is our first experience with a fire and the whole shebang," said Cheryl Adams, Lake Tanglewood Resident.

There are other evacuations centers set-up around town -- if you need to find the closest evacuation to you visit us online.
