TEXHOMA, OKLAHOMA -- The Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner's office has released the autopsy results for 5-year-old Alexandria Warner. The cause of death is unknown, but it has been ruled a homicide. Diazepam, also known as Valium, was found in her heart blood. The autopsy report says while asphyxia by smothering is the likely cause of death, all findings were non-specific, and that is the reason the cause of death is unknown.
Her body was discovered in December of 2010 in the Hometown Inn in Texhoma after her mother, Irene Warner, was struck and killed by a train near the Pacific Union Tracks by 2nd Street.
We have contacted the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to see if there is any update on their case in light of this new information. We'll let you know if they have anything new on the investigation.
