AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The news about the kennels being destroyed, and about other animals that didn't make it out of the fires, has many people mourning the loss of their pets.

It's very close to the same feeling anyone who's lost a loved one might feel.

And a local monument service is doing its best to help those people.

Osgood Lagrone Monuments is offering a free gravestone to anyone who suffered the loss of a pet in this week's fires.

"We had a customer contact us and was real concerned about what had happened and asked if there was anything we could do, so my father and I sat down and talked about it and decided the best thing we could do would be to offer a free monument for any of the owners of these dogs, that the dogs not going to be coming home," said Steven Smith, Owner Osgood Lagrone Monument Company.

All you have to do is contact the Osgood Lagrone Monument Company and tell them your story.
