AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Amarillo Zoo has a couple new residents to add to it's animal community.
Sabrina and Savannah are Bengal tigers that were transferred from an animal shelter in San Antonio.
The two tigers have been together for six years and will now call Amarillo their home.
The zoo upgraded its tiger facility to almost three times the size it use to be to accommodate the new arrivals.
"It keeps people interested. They want to see the zoo develop and grow, so as we add new exhibits and other components -- like an education center, all of these things just help improve the zoo and it gives a facility that the community could be proud of," said Rhonda Votino, Amarillo Zoo Curator.
The zoo's educational center set to open sometime within the next year.
