AMARILLO, TX -- Billboards and outdoor advertising are all along the interstate and Canyon e-way, but you may have noticed a new banner getting a lot of attention along the e-way, asking for help with our dry weather.

At the Soliz masonry company north of the McCormick turnoff, you can see a banner which simply reads, "Pray for rain."

After a short drought a couple years ago, they did this and believe that throwing a little prayer prayer into the air may help the heavens open up with some much needed rain.

"Just to help get us some rain hopefully. We need it, and yeah, prayer helps. Because it's so dry, and with all the fire hazards and everything, we just need everyone to get together and pray..and hopefully, we'll get some moisture out of it, " says Reggie Brown, a transporter for the company.

They say they may take the banner down once our prayers are answered and we get the rain we need so desperately.
