Nearly $100,00 in marijuana was found in a vehicle on I-40 in Oldham County.

DPS says a Trooper stopped a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for speeding seven miles west of Vega. After being denied consent for a vehicle search, a DPS K-9 unit was brought in and indicated the presence of a controlled substance during a free air sniff.

23 bundles of marijuana was found inside the trunk. Weighing 27.5 pounds, the marijuana is valued at $96,110.

The driver, Anna F. Walker, 48, and the passenger, her husband, Terry R. Walker, 49, were arrested for possession of marijuana. DPS says the couple was traveling from Las Angeles to Illinois.
