AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Current and past DJ's gathered today at Amarillo College to celebrate FM-90's, 35th birthday.
On-air personalities from years past were filtering in and out until around six o'clock tonight.
They were getting the opportunity to get back behind the microphone and tell stories from their experiences at Amarillo College.
The guest DJ's also got to play some of their favorite songs from their time, and talk about what they are doing today.
"A lot of them have gone on to careers in the broadcasting, but a lot of them have done other things and have learned the skills to help them in their current positions from broadcasting," said Brian Frank, FM-90 Program Director.
"It's been 35 years March 15, 1976, they signed onto this radio station and to see it so full of life, to still see people having a blast, still see people learning this fun business, it doesn't pay a lot but it's a fun business to be in," said Chris Albracht, a former FM-90 DJ.
Frank says this is also a great learning experience and motivational tool for current students in the program.
